Revolution!

Revolution! shows the world to 1985

 The Revolution! timeline takes place in an alternate Nineteen Eighty-Four universe were the Oceanian revolution failed, and a weaker Oceania collapsed into small, weak states, while Eurasia became the dominant world power.

After the formation of Oceania and the end of the global nuclear war, the Oceanian civil war wrecked havoc over the super-state, culminating in the failure of the Ingsoc coup d'état, and defeat of radical socialists in 1953.

The repercussions of this however, was the failure of the Oceanian government to rebuild the cities and represent the people in government, which led to the protests of 1955, and due to the governments crack down on dissent following the civil war, the protest was disbanded and those who remained defiant were arrested.

In 1957, the newly formed Eastasia declared war on Eurasia for control of the disputed zone, an area of the world located between Tangier, Brazzaville, Darwin and Hong Kong, forming a rough parallelogram. The government of Oceania, which had put off democratic elections for the re-establishment of order to it's claimed territory, declared war on Eurasia in 1958 to get the raw materials located in the African portion of the disputed zone.

It all came ahead in 1959, when various provinces of Oceania declared their independence and took to fighting for it. With Oceania fighting the uprisings as well as Eurasia, it slowly lost ground, and fully dissolved on April 5, 1960. The provinces of Checkpoint and Airstrip one were occupied by Eurasia, and the north of the province of Capricorn was captured by Eurasia, leaving the remaining land once occupied by Oceania to its own accord.
